Suffield Agriscience Students Return!

President Trumps FFA visit

Suffield Agriscience students have returned from an energized week of participating in dynamic student & teacher workshops, listening to motivational speakers, watching talent shows, and participating in a national day of service among other activities. While the student’s trip was cut short due to President Trump’s arrival to speak at the FFA convention, they were still able to view the end of the convention together from the airport.

Many thanks to Suffield Regional High School’s Agriscience Director, Laura LaFlamme, for coordinating and chaperoning this fun filled trip for these students!

Agriscience students will now compete this Friday at the State CDE competitions for next years national convention in Indianapolis. CDE teams have been chosen and consist of students who are skilled in their distinct project areas. These students practice throughout the school year to earn there spot in the state competitions. Winners of the State competitions will go on to compete at National Convention in 2019. The host of this year’s State competitions is UConn in Storrs, CT.
