The Suffield Players Plan Online Productions In February, April
The performances are free and open to the public, with donations appreciated; all contributions will benefit The Players and Mapleton Hall.

While Mapleton Hall has been closed since March of 2020, The Players have been busy with renovations at our historic theatre home, while still producing virtual shows and theatre workshops!

Offstage: The outside of the Hall was “Brushed Up” with a fresh coat of paint this past fall by Brad Willard Pro Painting, thanks to the generosity of sponsors and members. The main hall got a brush-up of its own, when volunteers repaired, cleaned, and repainted the audience seating platforms. Downstairs, the generous support of The Suffield Rotary Club allowed J.T.N. Electrical to replace outdated (and failing) lighting with energy-efficient LED units.
Onstage Online: An Audition Workshop and three short plays were presented virtually this past fall and winter! The shows were recorded, and are available for audiences to enjoy on The Suffield Players’ YouTube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCZ0FZLN6nI_GNvA_tPH6dJQ/videos

A Bright Future: Two entertaining online productions are coming up in February and April of 2021, as well as another theatre workshop!
“Give Your Heart to Mapleton Hall,” a family-oriented variety show and fundraiser, will take place online on February 27, 2021 from 7 - 8 pm. Perseus and Medi, by Nicole Murray, premieres on April 9 and 10 at 7 pm (recommended for ages 13 and up.) All performances can be seen live on The Players’ Facebook page: www.Facebook.com/TheSuffieldPlayers on the dates mentioned or watched afterward in recorded versions on our YouTube channel.

“Acting For The Camera,” a workshop for aspiring virtual actors taught by former professional anchor Michelle Elaine Kennedy, is open for sign-ups! The workshop is scheduled for February 9 from 7 – 9 pm, with a tuition of $75 (scholarships are available.)
