Editor’s note: We published this story earlier in the week, but here it is again in case you missed it.

The Suffield Players proudly open their 63rd season – one of Moonlight, Mirth and Mystery - with the classic whodunit The Mousetrap by Agatha Christie.

Famous for being the longest running play in the history of theatre, the Players’ production is directed by veteran actor/director Denise Boutin. The show performs on October 8, 9, 10, 16, 17, 18*, 23, and 24 at 8 p.m. in Mapleton Hall in Suffield (*2 p.m. Matinee).

The Players add this classic gem to their long-standing tradition of producing murder mysteries at historic Mapleton Hall. The group has mounted more than 20 mysteries since 1952 when they first incorporated as a community theatre ensemble (interestingly, Dame Agatha penned this play in 1952 as well!)

The Mousetrap tells the story of eight people trapped in a snowbound house, one of whom is a murderer... but which one? The audience is drawn into a tangled web of drama and deception, clues and comedy... all concocted by “The Queen of Crime,” Agatha Christie.
