Lifetime Achievement Awards Celebrate Impact of 'Servant Leaders'

Hartford, Conn. (June 25, 2018) – Hartford Business Journal today announced that four of Greater Hartford’s ‘servant leaders’ have been recognized for their legacies of leadership and impact.
Tom Barnes, Chairman of the Board, Barnes Group Inc., leads a fifth-generation family manufacturing business as well as the company’s charitable foundation.
Suzanne Hopgood, CEO of The Hopgood Group and Chairman of the Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA), has held leadership positions at numerous U.S. companies and is widely regarded as a trailblazer in overcoming “boardroom politics.”

Adrienne W. Cochrane, Chief Executive Officer of YWCA Hartford Region, has spent her career advocating for social justice and helping disenfranchised individuals increase their self-sufficiency.
Howard Orr, Owner/President of KTI Inc., became company president at the age of 24 and has served on more than 30 nonprofit boards and commissions during the course of his career.

“This year’s Lifetime Achievement Award honorees have made a broad and meaningful impact on their companies and their communities,” Joe Zwiebel, president and publisher, Hartford Business Journal, said. “These individuals are change agents, leaders and role models for young professionals. We are pleased to celebrate their accomplishments and honor their impact through these awards.”
Honorees will be celebrated during a breakfast at The Hartford Club on July 18th. Tickets are $85 per person and available for online purchase.
The 2018 Lifetime Achievement Awards were presented by Hartford Business Journal with the support of Harvard Pilgrim Health Care (presenting sponsor) and UConn School of Business (education leadership sponsor).
