Suffield Runner Wins State Cross Country Championship
A 1-2 punch lifted the Wildcats to a second-place team finish in the Class M meet at Wickham Park in Manchester

MANCHESTER, CT — Kyle Englander and Nick Sinofsky of Suffield High School placed first and second in the CIAC Class M boys cross country championships Friday at Wickham Park.
Englander covered the 3.1 mile terrain in 16:22, edging his teammate by five seconds. Nathan Davidson (8), Jared Sharp (12), Charles Brydges (14) and Camden Miller (16) all turned in top 20 performances for the Wildcats, who placed second with 37 points to Tolland's 30.
The Wildcat girls placed third in Class M, led by Emily Bridges (5), Gabby Zeller (11), Karissa Stanio (15) and Haley Young (19).

The top two teams and 12 individuals from each class advance to the State Open, scheduled for Nov. 2, also at Wickham Park.
