Suffield Votes To Only Allow U.S., State Flags At Town Flagpoles

SUFFIELD, CT — The Suffield Board of Selectmen voted Wednesday to only allow the state and U.S. flags to fly from town flagpoles, according to The Hartford Courant. The subject had become controversial as the town rejected a request to allow the LGBTQ rainbow flag to be displayed during Pride month.

The vote came after an hour of emotional public comment with supporters and detractors of flying the Price flag. In the end, only Selectman Peter Hill voted to fly the additional flag.
