Suffield's Second Chance Shop Donates $60,000 to Area Charity

The donation was made to The Village for Families & Children.

Did you know that all the money from purchases at the Second Chance Shop in Suffield directly benefits The Village for Families & Children?

With community support, and the efforts of more than 100 volunteer auxiliary members, the Second Chance Shop was able to present $60,000 to The Village for the 2014-2015 year.

Second Chance Shop is an entirely volunteer-run upscale secondhand shop where all proceeds from the shop benefit The Village for Families & Children, an organization that works to build a community of strong, healthy families who protect and nurture children in Greater Hartford.

The shop welcomes donations of gently used clothing, shoes, accessories, and collectibles. Donations are tax-deductible, and can be dropped off at the shop, 116 Mountain Rd., the CVS Plaza, Monday through Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
