Tractor Trailer Takes Down Wires in Suffield

A segment of Mountain Road is closed while utility workers repair the damage.

SUFFIELD, CT — Mountain Road between Ffyler Place and Remington Street in Suffield has been temporarily closed due to power lines and a pole down in front of the Town Hall annex at 230-C Mountain Road.

Preliminary investigation indicates the wires were accidentally pulled down by a tractor trailer truck attempting to enter a parking lot. No injuries occurred during the incident, Capt. Christopher McKee said.

As of 12:35 p.m., Eversource had made the lines safe and recovery efforts were underway. The offices at 230-C Mountain Road have been closed, McKee said.
