Tree Falls Across Major Suffield Roadway
The road is expected to be closed in both directions for several hours, prompting police to advise using alternate routes.
SUFFIELD, CT — A portion of Mountain Road was closed for several hours Friday due to a tree which fell across the roadway near the Spaulding School.
The tree fell just west of the school, blocking both westbound and eastbound traffic. Police advised using alternate routes - South Grand Street if traveling eastbound, and Sheldon Street if traveling westbound.
The road closure lasted several hours, police said.
