Booter From East Haddam Named SCSU Co-Captain
The junior has been a starter on defense in each of his first two years with the Owls.

NEW HAVEN, CT — Southern Connecticut State University has announced that junior Zak Wright of East Haddam will serve as men's soccer co-captain for the 2018 season, according to head coach Tom Lang.
Wright has been a starter on defense in each of his first two years with the Owls. He also helped to anchor the Owls' defense during last year's run to the NCAA Tournament. Wright has also been recognized for his work in the classroom, as a multiple selection to the NE10 Commissioner's Honor Roll and as an ECAC Academic Honor Roll selection.
Senior Jhony Gonzalez of Central Falls, R.I. was also named co-captain.

The Owls, coming off a 2017 campaign which culminated with the 34th NCAA tournament appearance in program history, open the 2018 season with a match at Mercy on Aug. 30.
