COVID-19 Update from Goodspeed Musicals

To Our Goodspeed Famiy and Friends,

As we react to the swirl of events and constantly changing information about the COVID-19 virus, we wanted to give you a brief update about what is happening here in East Haddam. We are actively monitoring the situation and our hearts are full with concern for all who are affected by this awful virus. To ensure the health and safety of our staff, artists and patrons we have taken the following measures:

• Beginning today and for the near future, our staff will work remotely and all Goodspeed buildings will be closed. Staff members will be checking email and telephone messages as often as possible.
• The Box Office phones will be open 10am-5pm Monday – Friday and our tickets will be available online 24 hours per day. Walk up sales at the Box Office will not be available until our buildings reopen.
• South Pacific is scheduled to begin on April 17. It is clear that we will not be able to open on time. However, given the ever-changing guidelines from federal and state agencies, we are not certain how long we will need to delay the show. As soon as we have determined when it is safe to open the show, we will contact all ticketholders and make arrangements for you to exchange tickets into a future performance.
• If you have not received your season tickets yet, please be patient. We will send them once we return to working on-site at the theatre.

As of today, none of our staff or their families have contracted the virus or are known to have been exposed to it, something for which we are thankful. We also hope that you and your families remain safe and healthy during this difficult time. We look forward to brighter times ahead and welcoming you back for a season full of entertaining musicals.
