East Haddam Nursing Home Fined By DPH: Report
An East Haddam nursing home was fined by the state DPH after a resident allegedly fell and was hurt there,
EAST HADDAM, CT — An East Haddam nursing home was fined by the state Department of Public Health after a resident fell and was hurt there, Connecticut Health-I-Team reported. Chestelm Health & Rehabilitation Center was fined $3,060 as a result of the Sept. 15, 2017 incident.
According to C-HIT, the resident had severe cognitive impairment and was allegedly left unattended while using the bathroom. X-rays later revealed the resident had several rib fractures and a hemothorax as a result of the incident, according to DPH.
