Fortune Plastics in Old Saybrook to Close this Year
More than 90 employees will lose their jobs as a result of the closing.
OLD SAYBROOK, CT - A long-established Old Saybrook manufacturer has announced it will close in April, according to The Day.
Fortune Plastics announced Tuesday that it will close its Williams Lane plant in Old Saybrook on April 23, according to The Day. Ninety-two employees will lose their jobs as a result of the closing.
The plant manufactures institutional bags and trash can liners, The Day reported. Fortune officials declined to say why the plant will be closing.
