Haddam-Killingworth, Hale Ray High School Runners Qualify for New England Championships
A trio of Cougars and a Noise will compete next weekend based on top 25 performances at Friday's State Open.
MANCHESTER, CT — A trio of Haddam-Killingworth High School cross country athletes and one from Hale Ray will continue their season after placing in the top 25 at the State Open championship Friday at Wickham Park in Manchester.
Andrew Meredith was 16th and Daniel Schumann 19th in the boys race to qualify for the New England Cross Country Championships Nov. 12 at Ponaganset High School in North Scituate, R.I.
On the girls' side, Emily Sienna of Hale Ray placed sixth, while H-K's Kelsey D'Amico also qualified by finishing 24th.
