Killingworth Man Stabbed Family Member: Police
A local man has been charged with attempted murder of a family member.

KILLINGWORTH, CT — A local man has been charged with stabbing a family member Monday, according to police. Paul Karam, 18, was charged with criminal attempt to commit murder, first-degree assault, and first-degree reckless endangerment. He was held on $250,000 bond.
Police responded a call at 7:52 a.m. at 91 Parker Hill Road for a domestic disturbance. The victim said she had been stabbed by a family member following an argument. She suffered stab wounds to her lower back and neck.
The victim was transported to Yale New Haven Hospital for treatment of serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

When police responded, they located the family member—Karam—hiding in the woods behind the residence. They also found the knife used in the incident.
He was transported to a hospital for mental health evaluation. Karam will be arraigned in Middletown Superior Court Tuesday.
