Killingworth Mom Eager To Spend Mother's Day With Daughter: Photo

KILLINGWORTH, CT — Whether it's through their personality, looks, hobbies or a combination of everything, daughters become a reflection of the woman who raised them. With Mother's Day 2018 right around the corner, we are celebrating that special bond by inviting Patch readers across Connecticut to share their "mother-daughter lookalike" photos.

It doesn't matter how old the kids are (they'll always be your babies) and part of the fun of motherhood is watching your children grow up and enjoy the same things that you love.

In Killingworth, mom Ann Marie Haigis said she has been told a number of times how much her daughter, Jessica, looks like her.

"I'm not sure how much we look alike," Haigis said in an email to Patch, "not sure how much I see it but have been told countless times!"

The photo she provided was taken last summer when she was dropping her daughter off at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute for a summer bridge program before her freshman year. Haigis said she will be picking her daughter up at the end of the week and that she "misses her a ton."

"So proud of how Jessica has persevered through her first year of college studying biomedical engineering with a concentration in mechanics," Haigis said. "I am a very proud mom and love that she will be home in time for Mother's Day!"
