Man Dies In East Haddam Crash

EAST HADDAM, CT — A man is dead following a wreck on Route 82 on Tuesday afternoon, according to state police. Steven Davidson, 59, of Sterling, died in the wreck.

Police said a GMC Yukon Denali was driving southbound on Route 82 at 3:52 p.m., approaching the intersection with Banning Road. Davidson was driving northbound and veered into the southbound lane, resulting in the crash.

Davidson was transported to the hospital and later pronounced dead. The driver and three passengers in the Yukon were uninjured.

The wreck remains under investigation.
