Middlesex/New London County Runners Qualify For State Open

Three teams from Patch towns in Middlesex and New London counties placed first or second; 31 runners from the area will compete Friday.

MANCHESTER, CT — A total of 360 athletes from throughout the state will compete Friday in the State Open cross country championships at Wickham Park.

At the Oct. 26 class meets at Wickham, two dozen teams qualified by placing in the top two of their division. The top 12 individuals in each class race make it to the Open, plus the 30 best times overall that finished out of the top 12.

Here are the 31 competitors from Patch towns in Middlesex and New London counties. An asterisk (*) indicates a team class championship; a double asterisk (**) signifies an individual class winner. Click the headers for the complete fields.
