CHESTER, CT — The long-time former Connecticut home of Morley Safer, a famous news journalist, has just been listed for $1.45 million, according to the listing on Realtor.com and real estate news site the Dirt.

Safer died in 2016 at the age of 84 and was a long-time contributor to the historic CBS news program, 60 Minutes. He earned numerous awards including 12 Emmys. He spent nearly 50 years working at 60 Minutes.

In a 2016 Hartford Courant article it says that Safer loved living in Chester and was a regular at restaurants and art galleries. Safer's wife, Jane Fearer, grew up in West Hartford. (Read the full Courant story here.)
