Obituary: Abdyl Topi, 73, Of East Haddam

Abdyl Topi, 73, of East Haddam and formerly of Albania died Tuesday, August 14th at Middlesex Hospital. Born August 1, 1945 in Tirana, Albania he was the son of the late Dalip and Sherife (Xhaja) Topi.

Abdyl had served in the Albanian Military for over 30 years.

He is survived by his son Denion Topi and his wife Korina of MA, his daughter with whom he made his home Brixhilda Topi of East Haddam, his sister Bajane Allmeta of Albania, his brother Kadri Topi, and his three grandchildren Nikoleta Elezi, Ryan Topi, and Nicholas Topi.

Friends may call at the First Congregational Church of East Haddam on Town Street on Sunday, August 19th from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. A funeral service will take place at 2 p.m. followed by burial in First Church Cemetery in East Haddam.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital at 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105-1942.
