Obituary: William (Bill) Henry Sanso, Formerly of Killingworth

Tuesday, July 18, 2017 William ( Bill) Henry Sanso of Killingworth formerly of Guilford passed away peacefully. Bill was born in August 30, 1929 in New Haven son of the late Joseph Angelo Sanso and Betty Pond Sanso.

He was the loving husband of 66 years to Marion Morrarty Sanso. Father of William (Bill) Sanso Jr of East Haven; Charles (Leanne) Sanso of ME; Arthur “Sam” (Dianna) Sanso of Clinton and Barbara (Mike) Lamb of PA. Also survived by ten grandchildren, Charles Sanso, Jr; Shelby SansoRobertson; Mallory and Kyle Lamb; Anna Torres Noyes; Jose Torres; Cheryl Peaslee; Jessica Merchant; Andrea Merchant Herrman and Richard Merchant; along with sixteen great grandchildren.

Predeceased by two brothers, Joseph and James and a sister, Margaret. Bill worked for the Town of Guilford as Police Officer and in the Public Works Department. Also a long time member of North Guilford Volunteer Fire Department. Family and friends may visit at the Guilford Funeral Home 115 Church St, Guilford on Friday, July 21, from 5 – 8 pm and prior to services on Saturday morning from 11 – 11:30am at the Guilford Funeral Home.

Services will take place at the Guilford Funeral Home at 11:30am on Saturday morning, with burial to follow immediately in North Guilford Cemetery, Ledge Hill Rd, Guilford. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Killingworth Congregational Church, 273 Route 81, Killingworth, CT 06419.
