Megan was stricken suddenly and precipitously with a dangerous level of heart failure on April 23

Their story has been a roller coaster ride, to say the least. One day, they are all healthy and happy, next day they all have the flu virus. A few days later, everyone, except Megan, is better. Megan was stricken with a dangerous level of heart failure on April 23 which was diagnosed as viral cardiomyopathy.

Over the past month and a half, Dan has been visiting Megan at Yale daily. Their children, Briana, 7, and Branden, 5, get to visit sometimes, too. Everyone has to wear hospital scrubs as they visit their mom to lift her spirits. Twice, Dan had to take the children to Megan to say their final good-byes.

As Megan, Dan and the family have been warned by the team at Yale-New Haven Hospital, they are to expect a rollercoaster ride in terms of diagnosis and emotions. This will not be easy and their expenses are piling up.

Dan has used up all his vacation time and is now on unpaid Family Leave. Fortunately, he can spend time with Megan and not worry about job security, but he's now not receiving his paycheck. In addition, the costs to park in YNHH is $40/day. And the so many other bills, medical expenses, etc. are piling up.

You can follow their story on CaringBridge.com (https://www.caringbridge.org/v... ) and donate any amount you can on her GoFundMe page: https://www.gofundme.com/megan...
