Small Aircraft Blown Off Runway In East Haddam: Reports

Emergency crews responded to the incident on Tuesday evening.

EAST HADDAM, CT — A small aircraft was blown off a runway Tuesday evening in East Haddam, according to multiple reports.

FOX 61 reports the incident happened at Goodspeed Airport on Lumber Yard Road.

The ultralight aircraft, described as an Aerolite 103 Ultralite, was idling on the runway when it was lifted off the ground by a gust of wind, according to NBC Connecticut.

The aircraft was unoccupied at the time and didn’t hit anything on the property, WFSB reports.

No injuries were reported.
