CELEBRATION, FL — An autopsy has concluded that three of the four members of the Todt family who were killed last month were stabbed, according to Florida TV station WESH. The family's father, Anthony Todt, has been arrested on four counts of homicide after a confession.

The autopsy found that Todt's wife, Megan, 42, was stabbed twice in the upper abdomen. Aleksander Todt, 13, and Tyler Todt, 11, were each stabbed once in the upper abdomen, according to the report.

The report did not reveal the injuries to four-year-old Zoe Todt. The Todt family lived in Connecticut up until recently and the family will be honored at a candlelight vigil at 6 p.m. tonight (Jan. 24) at the Colchester Town Green, which is where the family had lived and worked up until recently.

Fox 61 says that attendees are encouraged to bring candles and the vigil is organized by the staff of Family Physical Therapy, where Tony Todt was physical therapist and operator.

The Todt family recently moved to Celebration, FL. On Jan. 13, police came to the family's home as part of an investigation into a healthcare scheme Anthony Todt was running through his physical therapy business, The Orlando Sentinel reported.

That day police intended to charge him with healthcare fraud. However, Anthony Todt refused to answer the door at the family's Reserve Place home and police forced their way in, The New Haven Register reported. At that point, he said that his wife was "sleeping upstairs," but police performed a protective sweep.

They discovered four bodies in the home and began a death investigation. Anthony Todt had taken an unknown amount of Benadryl in an attempt to commit suicide and was unsteady on his feet when police arrived at the home.

He was taken into custody and later confessed to killing his wife, three children, and the family's dog, Breezy.

Law enforcement officials believe that the family was killed sometime in December and that Anthony Todt continued to live in the house for weeks afterward.

Concerned relatives and friends started the page "Looking for the Todt Family." On the page, one post says the family was last seen Jan. 6.

The Todt family, still owned a business with two locations in Colchester called Family Physical Therapy. Reports indicate that the business was in serious trouble and that Anthony Todt was under investigation.

The family had fallen on hard times as Anthony Todt's license to practice physical therapy expired because it was not renewed last year. He was the subject of a federal investigation as he was accused of billing Medicaid and health insurance companies for hundreds of hours of patient care that he never actually provided, The Orlando Sentinel reported.

Then the family was recently evicted from the house they'd been staying at in Celebration, FL. Court documents also showed that the family had fallen behind on the home by the amount of $4,921, The New Haven Register reported.

The Todts and their businesses also had debts of almost $100,000 in unpaid loans, according to The New London Day. They were being investigated by the Connecticut Attorney General's office for filing false claims.

Colchester First Selectman Mary Bylone posted the following on Facebook: "The news reports out of Celebration, Florida regarding a Colchester family are shocking and heartbreaking. While there is much we do not know at this time, I know that the thoughts and prayers of our entire community are with the relatives and friends of the family involved. We can't always make sense of moments like this but we can support each other. Colchester proves every day the power of community and the importance of being kind. I know we will stand together as we help each other to work through this moment."

A vigil for the family is planned for tonight at 6 p.m. on the Colchester green, FOX 61 reported.
