Turtle Crossing!

It might be hard to see, but that's a little turtle crossing Route 81! I came across the little guy as I was driving around town the other day. I wanted to help him but I didn't know what to do.

So, I checked out the Connecticut Fish and Wildlife Facebook page and here's what hey had to say:

"Please leave turtles where you see them. If you see one crossing the road, don't put it back on the side it came from- it will just cross again."

I watched the critter get across the street safety (but didn't interfere)! So be sure to keep a look out for these little ones if you're driving around.
