Winter Team State Title History: Hale-Ray, Haddam-Killingworth
The two schools have combined for two state team championships in winters past.
HIGGANUM-MOODUS, CT — As practices for high school winter sports officially get underway Monday (girls basketball, ice hockey and wrestling) and Thursday (boys basketball, indoor track, boys swimming and girls gymnastics), hopes run high for all teams to achieve the ultimate goal: winning a league championship, and possibly a state title.
To help squads get into the championship mentality, here is a listing of the CIAC winter team titles won by Hale-Ray High School in past years (* - indicates a co-op team). Note: Haddam-Killingworth has never won a team championship in a winter sport.
- boys ice hockey (1) - Div. III: 2018*
- girls basketball (1) - Class S: 1994
