2018 Town Of Lyme 4th Of July Parade Date, Road Closures Set
The annual event will be held on Cove Road in Lyme.

From the Town of Lyme: The Town of Lyme would like to advise residents that the traditional Cove Road July 4 th Parade will be held Wednesday, July 4, at approximately 10 a.m., in celebration of Independence Day.
The parade will begin near Camp Claire on Cove Road, cross Route 156 and end at the Lyme Grange. Residents should expect temporary street closings during the parade and parking may be limited in some areas (see below).
The grand marshal for this year’s parade will be Rowland J. Ballek, who served as the moderator of Lyme’s annual Town Meeting for 46 years, from 1972 through 2018. Ballek also served on the town’s Planning and Zoning Commission from 1962 (the year it was established) through 1978, including a seven-year stint as the commission’s chairman.

The Town advises residents of the following road closings that will be in effect on Wednesday, July 4, 2018, to help facilitate the parade:
- Route 156 will be closed from approximately 10 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. between Sterling City Road North and South with a detour along Sterling City Road. Expect delays.
- Parking may be limited in some areas.
Please note that Lyme Town Hall, Public Library and Transfer Station will all be closed Wednesday, July 4, in observance of Independence Day.
