Dog License Information For The Lymes Residents
All dogs 6 months of age or older must be licensed. Fees for neutered or spayed dogs are $8.00 and for un-neutered or unspayed dogs are $19.

The Town Clerk’s Office is reminding dog owners that they must register their dogs by June 30 of each year.

All dogs 6 months of age or older must be licensed. Fees for neutered or spayed dogs are $8.00 and for un-neutered or unspayed dogs are $19.00.
A certificate of neutering or spaying from a licensed vet must be presented when licensing a dog for the first time.

An up-to-date certificate of rabies vaccination must be presented before a dog can be licensed. The rabies tag is not acceptable.
To license by mail, send all required information (which will be returned) along with a check made payable to East Lyme Town Clerk and mail to East Lyme Town Clerk, PO Box 519, Niantic, CT 06357. We do require a self-addressed stamped envelope. Postage on the return envelope is 70 cents for the return of the license.

A penalty of $1 per month will be assessed for payments received after June 30th. For information, call the Town Clerk’s Office at 739-6931, ext. 1135.
