East Lyme Police Search For Suspects In Car Burglary Cases
Several unlocked vehicles were entered overnight and had items stolen.
EAST LYME, CT — Police say that in the overnight hours, numerous unlocked vehicles in the Town of East Lyme were entered in the areas of Holmes Road and Walnut Hill/Sleepy Hollow area. In two instances vehicles which had keys inside were taken, but were found parked a short distance away with no damage.
In several cases no items were taken, but in others items of value were stolen. In one case, a credit card taken from within a vehicle has already been used in the City of Hartford, according to a statement from police.
The East Lyme Police Department is continuing to investigate these incidents and searching for suspects.

Police urge all residents to lock their vehicles and secure valuables at all times. Several residents have contacted police with video evidence from home systems. Anyone with information should contact the East Lyme Police Department at 860-739-5900.
