East Lyme Road To Be Closed For Tree Removal
The town has issued a message regarding road closures this week.

Information via East Lyme Public Safety
EAST LYME, CT — The Town and Eversource have identified a few very large hazard trees in front of 57 Dean Rd that need to come down. One of these trees dropped a large branch on the road during a wind storm so it really needs to come down.
Due to their size, the tree contractor will need a crane to safely bring it down. The crane will need to be parked in the middle of Dean Rd so we will need to close the road to thru traffic during the work. Therefore, the Town is planning to close Dean Rd between Whitney Lane and Lovers Lane on this Thursday February 25th and Friday February 26th between the hours of 8:30am til about 3pm.

The PW Department has notified the School Bus company and the emergency services. The Town is planning on putting up barricades at Lovers Lane and Whitney Lane along with signage on Dean Rd at Boston Post Rd that the road is closed to thru traffic. The PW Department will also have a flagger at Whitney Lane to answer any questions that people might have. If residents have any questions, you should contact the Public Works Department at 860-691-4118.
