It's Deja Vu For Old Lyme In Girls Soccer Championship [VIDEO]

The Wildcats captured their fourth straight Class S title by holding off Immaculate, 2-1.

MIDDLETOWN, CT —Mya Johnson of Old Lyme scored her 100th career high school goal a little over 27 minutes into Sunday's Class S championship game against Immaculate. More importantly, it tied the score at 1-1 heading into intermission.

Her 101st goal was most important of all, however, as she converted a breakaway with just under eight minutes to play in regulation time, lifting the Wildcats to a 2-1 victory and their fourth straight title.

Immaculate had taken the lead just three and a half minutes into the contest on a goal by Maddie Borque, and stayed ahead until Johnson's milestone tally nearly 25 minutes later.

After Johnson's go-ahead score, Immaculate put pressure on Old Lyme goalkeeper Samantha Gray, but was unable to find the net. Hailey Dubbioso had the best chance, but Gray stopped her shot from about 15 yards out with 5:30 to play.
