Life Star Called to Truck Accident in East Lyme

A box truck drove off the connector and into the woods on May 21, according to the Flanders Fire Department.

At approximately 2:30 a.m. Saturday, May 21, the Flanders Fire Department responded to assist the Niantic Fire Department with the extrication of a driver who drove off the Rocky Neck Connector into the woods, Flanders' firefighters said via Facebook.

Firefighters said the man was driving a box truck. Once he was extricated from the truck, he was transported by Life Star to Hartford Hospital.
