Man Flees Scene Of East Lyme Car Crash
A driver was brought up on charges and a woman was severely injured in the accident.
EAST LYME, CT -- A man is facing charges that he fled the scene of an accident Saturday, according to police. Gunner Dill, of Camp Lejeune, NC was charged with evading responsibility-serious injury, reckless driving, taking vehicle without owner permission, and second-degree reckless endangerment.
Police said they received multiple calls at 2:55 p.m. reporting a crash on Quarry Road and Niantic. Emergency responders arrived on the scene and located a trapped female passenger who was severely injured.
She was extricated by the Niantic Fire Department and transported by LifeStar helicopter to Hartford Hospital.

The injured passenger said that the driver had fled the scene.
A search by police and firefighters located the driver, Dill, at a residence. An investigation found that Dill had taken the truck and was driving in a reckless manner when the wreck occurred, according to police.
