Man's Body Found On Side Of Road In East Lyme

EAST LYME, CT – Local and state officials are investigating after a man's body was found on the side of the West Society Road Tuesday night.

According to East Lyme Police, dispatch received a 911 call around 10:30 p.m. Tuesday reporting an unresponsive man on the side of the road.

The man was pronounced dead by members of the East Lyme Ambulance, police said in a news release posted to their Facebook page.

Investigators from the New London State Attorney's Office and the Eastern District Major Crime Unit were on the scene as of early Wednesday morning.

An investigation is ongoing.
