New Old Lyme Restaurant Set To Open This Month

OLD LYME, CT — The site of the former Lenny's at the Beach in Old Lyme is slated to become a new upscale, family friendly restaurant this month.

Kokomo's is scheduled to open by May 11 at 88 Hartford Ave., a change in direction from the location's former beach bar vibe, reports WFSB-TV.

Owner Brian Cleary, who runs a charter yacht venture in nearby Niantic, wants Kokomo's to be known for the same service and quality he offers in his boating business. And he'd like to see the establishment expand the dining clientele beyond the 20-somethings that used to frequent Lenny's, writes The Day.

With its beach location, the new restaurant will specialize in seafood, but will augment the higher end cuisine with craft beers and craft sandwiches, according to Chef Ernesto Pahl-Lee, while still maintaining affordable prices.
