The New Old Saybrook Fred Astaire Dance Studio

New proprietors have taken ownership of Old Saybrook Fred Astaire Dance Studios at One Seventy Four Main Street, and they’ve remodeled the place completely with a total new look, with new dance classes and added a whole new team of certified dance instructors.

Paulo Jorge and Christian Lange took over the classic downtown dance studio on August First. The business partners, also run another two dance studios in Connecticut, located in Southbury and South Windsor.
The studio is following strict CDC and State guidelines to minimize the spread of Covid 19 and they continue offering the town something exciting and fun. “We are so excited to welcome the community back to the studio.” Dancing is the best way to relieve stress, to exercise and to recharge, and they can’t wait to get Old Saybrook folks, adults, teenagers and kids dancing again!
The dance studio offers so many different dances, styles, and classes; American and international, private dance lessons and groups, in-studio, virtual and pre-recorded online dance lessons. The owners sometimes lose count trying to list them all. There's salsa, tango, rumba, both eastern and western swing, cha cha, merengue, samba, and many more, as well as the new adult-aged fitness classes, tap dance and bachata. Those weren't offered last year, and Paulo and Christian are excited to make them part of the curriculum. They are open Monday through Friday from 12 noon to 9 p.m. and since September, they're opening every Saturday from 11 am to 8 pm.
