Niantic Man Busted With 198 Bags Of Fentanyl: PD

A Niantic man is facing charges after police said they found him with 198 baggies of suspected fentanyl.

NIANTIC, CT — A Niantic man is facing charges after East Lyme police say they found him at a local motel in possession of 198 baggies of suspected fentanyl. Jeremy Haynes was charged with possession of narcotics with intent to sell within 1,500 feet of a school and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The investigation began when police began looking into the sale of drugs at the parking lot of a motel on Flanders Road. Police said they found Haynes in a room at the motel with drugs and paraphernalia.

The East Lyme Police Department was assisted by the Waterford Police Department and the New London Police Department Narcotics K-9.

Haynes was held on $10,000 bail and will appear in New London Court March 11.
