Niantic Man Charged With DUI
A Niantic man was charged with driving under the influence following a report of a car crash.
NIANTIC, CT — A Niantic man was charged with DUI following a report of a car crash on Roxbury Road Monday afternoon, according to police. Sean Lynch, 33, of 160 Roxbury Road, was charged with operating under the influence, operating while suspended, failure to stay right, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Police said they responded to a report of a car crash but investigation revealed property damage only. During the investigation, Lynch admitted to driving the car and showed signs of being impaired, according to police.
He then failed a sobriety test and was taken into custody. He was released on $1000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court Nov. 6.
