Niantic Man Dies In Fiery Rhode Island I-95 Crash

NIANTIC, CT — A Niantic man died in a fiery crash on I-95 in Rhode Island, FOX 61 reported.

Rhode Island State Police responded to a single-car crash on I-95 north near Exit 3 in Richmond at 1:49 a.m. The sole person in the burning vehicle was Brian Joseph Scacciaferro, 25, of Niantic, who was transported to a local hospital but died of his injuries.

The wreck is part of a continuing investigation but speed and alcohol appear to be factors, FOX 61 reported.
