Niantic River Bridge (Route 156) In The Lymes Closing On March 25 For 72 Hours

March 18, 2021

Beginning March 25, 2021 at 08:00 a.m., Route 156 over the Niantic River will be closed for 72 hours. This work cannot be accomplished in concurrence with traffic flow. The road is scheduled to be reopened by 12:00 a.m. March 28, 2021.

LANE CLOSURE INFO

Route 156 over the Niantic River will be closed starting March 25, 2021 to March 27, 2021. The detour route is an 8-mile loop. From Route 156 East, follow Route 161 North to Route 1 East to Niantic River Road South. From Route 156 West, follow Niantic River Road North to Route 1 West to Route 161 South.

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing the road closure of Route 156 over Niantic River for adjustments of mechanical components.
