Niantic Woman Charged In Assault: Police
A woman was charged with attacking a victim with scissors.
EAST LYME, CT — A woman was arrested Sunday for wounding a person with a scissors, according to police. Tia Perry, 37, of 184 West Main St., Apt. C, in Niantic, was charged with third-degree assault and disorderly conduct.
She was released on $1,000 bond and was scheduled to appear in New London Superior Court Monday.
Police said they were called to the scene to investigate the report of a verbal argument between two individuals. On scene the victim was found to have a wound to one arm caused by scissors and another large scratch to the other arm.

The victim was treated for injuries at the scene and declined additional medical treatment.
Perry fled from by foot and was apprehended a short distance from the scene, according to police.
