Niantic Woman Charged In Fatal Drug Overdose
A Niantic woman has been charged with selling fentanyl to a man who overdosed last year.
EAST LYME, CT — A Niantic woman is accused of selling fentanyl to a 35-year-old man who overdosed last year, according to police. Cara Finan, 32, of 40 Park Place, was charged with sale of narcotics.
She was released on $30,000 bond and will appear in court Feb. 23.
Police said that Sept. 9 they received a call from a Niantic home indicating that a man was unresponsive possibly from a fentanyl overdose. Attempts to revive the man were unsuccessful and the man was pronounced dead.

An investigation found that Finan had sold fentanyl to the man, according to police. A warrant was issued for her arrest Tuesday and she turned herself in to police.
