Old Lyme Man Charged Following Foot Chase: Police
An Old Lyme man was arrested on a warrant for charges connected to failures to appear in court on burglary, assault, and robbery charges.
EAST LYME, CT — A man was arrested on a warrant for charges connected to failure to appear in court for robbery, assault, and burglary charges, according to police. Tyler Groh, 21, of 58 Boston Post Road in Old Lyme, was arrested on two counts of first-degree failure to appear, five counts of second-degree failure to appear, violation of probation, and interfering with police/resisting arrest.
According to East Lyme police, officers made stopped a car on West Main Street on Friday at 10 p.m. based on investigation into Groh. Groh was wanted for multiple arrest warrants, several of which were for failing to appear in court on violent crimes including robbery, assault, and burglary.
The officers approached the vehicle and saw that the passenger was Groh, who fled onto the KOA campground property.

Police took caught Groh after a foot pursuit and took him into custody. He was held on $321,000 bond.
Police also arrested the car's driver. Christopher Garland, 18, of 28 Buttonball Road in Old Lyme, was charged with illegal possession of a weapon in a motor vehicle.

Police said Garland had a Glock BB gun adjacent to the driver’s seat. His bond was set at $2,500.
