Old Lyme Proposed Gas Station Leads To Neighborhood Opposition

Some residents oppose a proposed gas station and convenience store in Old Lyme.

OLD LYME, CT — A proposed development including a Big Y Gas station and convenience store is facing opposition from local residents, according to The Middletown Press. Developers have purchased two properties for the project—99 Halls Road and 25 Neck Road—which are located between Treasures, a home goods store, and Essex Savings Bank.

Residents opposed to the project have said that the proposal would increase traffic and wouldn't fit the character of Old Lyme.
