'Trash'N Fashion Showcase Showdown' In Old Lyme April 26

The event, which is accepting submissions, is sponsored by Old Lyme's Solid Waste and Recycling Committee and the library.

OLD LYME, CT — To celebrate Earth Day, the Old Lyme Solid Waste and Recycling Committee and the Old Lyme Phoebe Griffin Noyes Library will host the Trash n' Fashion Showcase Showdown from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on April 26 at the library.

The showcase features creative items made from trash or upcycled materials, and organizers are accepting submissions. Click here to apply to showcase your creation at the event.

  • All pieces may only be 20 percent "new" material & 80 percent recycled/ used material
  • Pieces can be any size, for any gender, and any age
  • Each applicant may present up to 4 pieces
  • At our discretion, the Library may choose not to include work
  • Work must be dropped off to the library on Thursday, April 26, between 1-4pm.
  • Work must be taken home by the end of the Showcase event; at 7:00pm, Thursday, April 26, 2018
  • Showcase event is Thursday, April 26 from 5-7pm. Makers must be on hand to share their process & pieces with visitors and/or jury
