Authorities Investigating West Hartford Fatal Fire
A fatal fire in West Hartford is under investigation.
WEST HARTFORD, CT — Fire officials in West Hartford are investigating a Saturday night blaze that claimed the life of one resident.
The fire broke out at about 9:50 p.m.
Initial 911 calls reported heavy smoke and flames and people trapped inside a home on Elmfield Street, according to authorities.

Most to the people inside were able to get out safely but one person died in the fire, authorities said.
The fire is still under investigation.
