Big Weather Changes On The Way For West Hartford
Here's the latest forecast for the area via the National Weather Service, including some major changes coming soon.

The calendar flipped to fall but all we got were 90-degree temperatures, making it feel like mid-July and not autumn. The good news for those desperate for some fall-like weather is that we will be getting a break from the heat soon.
Beginning this weekend temps will remain only in the 60s, but don’t get used to the fall weather as we’re back into the 80s again by the end of next week, according to NBC Connecticut Meteorologist Ryan Hanrahan.
“Big temperature drop by the weekend. From 90s to 60s by Saturday. Finally - something close to normal,” Hanrahan said.

He adds, “OK so I know a few of you are disappointed cooler weather is moving in but you won't be disappointed for long.”
WTNH Meteorologist Gil Simmons said, “Good morning! Here's your InstaCast for another Summer day today! Make sure you are drinking water in this heat and parts of Connecticut may see a scattered shower later on this afternoon. Most of the state will stay dry! The Fall feel rolls in each day starting tomorrow through the end of the week with highs only in the 60s by Friday!”
