Black Bear Caught Wandering in West Hartford Relocated
A black bear was spotted up in a tree in a West Hartford yard on Sunday.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — A black bear was tranquilized and relocated back into a “suitably wooded area,” after spending some of Sunday wandering through West Hartford yards looking for food, according to the Hartford Courant.
The Courant reports a 250-pound male black bear was spotted about 3:15 p.m. on Sunday at the top of a tree near a home on Lilley Road.
Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection officials located the bear a short time later on Vanderbilt Road, according to FOX 61.
The bear was then captured and later relocated.
