Bomb Threat At Westfarms Investigated

Police are looking into a bomb threat at a local mall.

WEST HARTFORD/FARMINGTON, CT — A bomb threat Wednesday closed a local shopping mall early.

At approximately 6:21 p.m., officers were dispatched to Westfarms Mall to investigate a bomb threat. police said.

West Hartford police and fire crews, along with Farmington Police, responded and a search of the mall was completed, according to a report.

Nothing suspicious was located and police will be following up regarding the nature of the original complaint, the report continued.

The mall was about to close at the time, police said. Some area streets were were temporarily closed during the investigation.
