Cafe Aura Opens Outdoor Dining

Geno Auriemma's upscale Italian steakhouse converts outdoor space for diners.

Cafe Aura has opened a new, temporary outdoor dining space to accommodate up to 40 additional diners at the popular restaurant. The tented area, which has been designed to create an authentic al fresco experience using greenery, lighting, music and full table settings, will be located alongside the restaurant in a section of its parking area. It will be available to diners through September and will be open during the restaurant’s normal operating hours (Monday-Wednesday from 4 to 9 p.m., Thursdays-Saturdays from 4 to 10 p.m., and Sundays from 3 to 8 p.m.). Reduced seating also is available inside the historic downtown location and all diners will be able to enjoy Cafe Aura’s full menu, wine list and bar service. Reservations always are highly recommended.

The restaurant also will continue to offer convenient take-out and delivery services including special chef-prepared family-style trays of salads, sides and entrees that feed up to 10 people. Café Aura’s “Meal for a Hero” program is also in full swing, which allows patrons to purchase one or multiple meals to be delivered to healthcare providers. All orders can be paced online at www.cafeaura.com.

“Outdoor dining is a treasured tradition in Italy and in many cities across the world and is a wonderful way to enjoy all the foods and drinks we present here at Café Aura,” owner Geno Auriemma said. “We appreciate how supportive both the City of Manchester and our business neighbors have been with this move, helping us meet COVID requirements and continue to bring visitors downtown. We look forward to serving our valued patrons in this new space.”

Cafe Aura opened in Manchester in December 2019 and is located at 45 E. Center Street in Manchester in the former Cavey’s. Its ever-changing menu is developed by Chef Erminio Conte, a native of Italy who studied and practiced throughout Europe, and who was chef founder of New York’s popular Prime 1024 on East 42nd Street. Summer favorites include watermelon salad, strawberry risotto, and pan-seared halibut with a mango-summer salsa. Its extensive bar features wines carefully culled from boutique and favored vineyards across the globe, along with cocktails, craft beers, and spirits.
